About PGP™
PGP stands for Pretty Good Pot.
GreenCo specializes in premium grade, artisan marijuana but we recognize that there is a high demand for quality without the price. We are introducing our PGP label to help satisfy that niche.
PGP – Pretty Good Pot – is great stuff, but either limited or not quite to the standards of our artisan collective.
Typically it is almost perfect but didn't make the cut for some specific reason. We will always list the reason explicitly in the description. PGP brand supply will almost always be limited and additional orders or wholesale amounts are not available.
We are using our first PGP (Pretty Good Pot) offering to encourage Silk Road users to us PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) to encode their address. Buyer who encode their address will get 4 grams instead of 3.5g for FREE.
We think PGP is the single most important security measure buyers can do to increase their privacy. In insures that even if Silk Road got hacked, no one can decode your address.
There are lots of great tutorials on PGP/GPG. You should be able to have it up and running in 5 to 10 minutes and GreenCo will reward you for your efforts.
PGP doesn't help Sellers as much (it actually makes us do an extra step) but we think it is very important for the community.

GreenCo has show time and time again they go way above and beyond as a vendor. I recently had the pleasure to try their Blue Dream --
Blue Dream from GreenCo (8.7/10)
As many know I love this strain, so when I saw Green Co had it I had to get it. I was of course not dissapointed. Though it needs some refining to be at the quality level of there SuperBud. It is non-the-less some really good Blue Dream. The smell is quite wonderful floral but fruity (Showing off the Blueberry heritage wonderfully), the taste was wonderful though the smoke was slightly harsh, it wasn't so bad that I set down my pipe before smokin a solid 1.1G : )
As for the high - I can go about my work, still be focused/attentive, all will being pleasantly inspired. Studying becomes not only a passtime but a sport. My thoughts soar untethered from most daily woes. Though the euphoria I usually expect from this strain was not found I, non the less, found my usual daily stress fading away - giving way to a intellectual bliss.
Overall: The high is long lasting, intellectually stimulating and you can expect I will be buying lots more : )

When it comes to SR, I follow the old adage: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." I tried some Super Bud from GreenCo a couple of months ago (before the Gawker deluge) and have just ordered the Blue Dream. The delivery time, packaging, and product quality were all excellent the first time, and I'm sure this next order will meet (or even exceed) my high expectations. I'm looking forward to receiving yet another delightful package in the mail from GreenCo.

I think of PGP™ as a clearance sale item. GreenCo specializes and will still carry their premium strains but they wanted to be able to list sale products also without anyone being disappointed with availability or whatever reason it's on sale.
I don't think PGP labeled stuff will be that common but already they have a couple of left over Oz of this and that they just need to get rid of.

I just got some of the Blue Dream recently and I was very impressed. The shipping took 4 business days and the packaging was great. GreenCo even gave me an order confirmation message, and a follow-up message after the order arrived and was finalized.
The quality of the Blue Dream was fantastic. I've fairly recently purchased weed from 2 other vendors on SR, and a bit from a local dealer, and if I had to rank what I got I'd say this Blue Dream is either #1 or #2 (I'm honestly leaning towards #1). It's good enough to make me very interested in seeing what else GreenCo lists. If it's of the same or better quality I'll be a very happy (and loyal) customer.

The blue dream I ordered is of very high quality, and was packaged to ensure the buds didn't get squished, Green Co is probably the best place for bud on SR. I am eagerly awaiting more strains, and more sizes. Green Co bud by the ounce would be perfect for me :)

i ordered blue dream, and i got in a few days, and man wow. great product. i personally never had any product like that ever. It is very pleasant to smoke. it begs to be smoked. i smoked three bowls the same night. thinking of getting a vaporizer for it. its so clear headed i think it tastes good and smells great. thank you greenco. what happen to the afghani goo? i wanted to try that.

I also ordered an 1/8oz of Blue Dream a few days ago, hopefully it will be here Monday. I'm pretty excited to try this strain. I see on your user page you have many strains. @speedball They often carry multiple strains and sizes. They have a wholesale cash business and the bitcoin division is a little bit in the doghouse after the craziness of last month. The will be offering more and more on Silk Road as everything remains stable.

I received the Blue Dream yesterday. I'd say the effects are pretty similar to those of Super Bud (clear-headed, cerebral) but with the addition of a moderate body high. It's a harsher smoke for sure, and my throat is still a little sore from last night.
I'll be interested to see what other strains GreenCo offers in the future. I'm sure they'll be as high-quality as my last two purchases have been.

This was my first order with GreenCo. I was attracted initially based on the positive feedback from others, but also because of the time and thought put into their vendor profile. I also support the co-op concept and like the sound of their operation. Finally, the prices were right providing me with the security and choice that I cannot get locally for the same price. :-)
I received my Blue Dream order today after just two days. This was a pleasant surprise to receive from the West Coast to the "Deep South". The packaging was very stealthy and sturdy to preserve the buds' structure. According to my scale I received .1-.2g extra which was nice and appreciated.
Now for the bud itself :D
The Blue Dream fragrance is sweet with a mild fruit and floral scent. There are no traces of pungent weed skunkiness. The taste of the smoke is smooth and the fruity aroma influences the exhale. The smoke may be a bit harsh but I didn't feel this on initial hits but have had an occasional cough on follow-ups.
The high is similar to my other two favorite strains: LA Confidential and Blueberry. The dominant characteristics of the high have been cerebral with mild body high. My mood is elevated but not as intensely euphoric as some other strains, particularly the Blueberry I've tried. Stress and anxiety are much diminished if not eliminated. That's quite significant for myself because I have problems with anxiety and face some specific personal challenges at the moment. The body high is nice without being groggy. I'm perfectly comfortable sitting at my computer, multi-tasking but I feel that I could get some things done around the house or town if need be. I may sometimes get distracted by a particular train of thought, but it's not difficult to reel it in and focus on the task at hand.
All in all I would say that this is a great vendor and I'm very satisfied with the product. Based on this, they've won a repeat customer. ;D

first time customer. Shipping time was fast ordered on monday afternoon and in my mailbox friday. great packaging no smell whatsoever. no shortage seemed to be even a little heavy. I guess im not a fan of the blue dreams strain, its a bummer i had high hopes being i never tried it before but its definitely top quality bud. I liked the initial high but comedown was harsh and a hour or two later ready for bed. Others said the smoke was harsh but I found quite the opposite and Im sensitive to harsh smoke. I found it to be smooth but then again I wasnt taking monster rips. I will say I got the worst cottonmouth I have ever had off any weed lol. Pretty intense I had to drink multiple cups of water to calm it down. It will be a good product for insomnia. I was overall very impressed and looking forward to some other strains from GreenCo.

We try to have enough stock to get us though the weekend, and understand that is a prime buying time. We have fewer people available over the weekend. We still ship and respond to messages but listings sometimes sell out Saturday or Sunday. We typically have new listing available again Monday.

yea man that blue dreams is nice man. still have more than half left. so nice. anyone can review their superbud? i saw a reviews on some other site about superbud and negative effects are paranoia, i think it was leafy. so i was wondering how greenco superbud is or did they work around that.

I have tried both the Super Bud and Blue Dream from GreenCo and I prefer the Super Bud. The effects are similar, but Blue Dream is harsher and seems to trigger headaches at times. I didn't notice any paranoia from the Super Bud. Keep in mind that I'm a novice smoker and my experiences with both are probably outside the norm. I'm also a survivor of a serious brain injury (not drug-related) so that may have something to do with the occasional headaches associated with Blue Dream.
GreenCo, it looks like buyer consensus is building for an indica strain as your next 1/8-oz. offering. I too would be interested in that.

@theonetheonlyandy Ed Rosenthal Super Bud often has more fluffy, not as dense buds. It is used to treat anxiety so hopefully does not lead to paranoia. It does have one of the higher THC contents. The reviews of GreenCo ER Super Bud were excellent but we did have one complaint about couch-lock (We claim it is an "upper" non-couch lock strain) No one mentioned paranoia in any reviews. Super Bud is one of the most loved strains throughout Northern California and we gave it an in house review of 10/10

I'm the one that complained about the Super Bud. The taste is smooth and awesome and the buds are pretty, but I didn't enjoy the high.
I don't think I can explain it well but I just don't enjoy it. I think it's probably perfect for a medical user but as a pure recreational user it wasn't what I look for at all. It doesn't have that "OMG I am so stoned I can't do anything but sit here" goofy indica couchlock, which I don't mind when winding down for the day.. It's a very clear high but then when you go to do something you are like "aww man my limbs feel feel numb and heavy as shit". You will get a bit of sativa trippy head thing going on if you smoke a good bit of it, but in general I didn't find it overly euphoric.
It's definitely not a paranoia inducing strain and for someone looking for pain or anxiety reduction without being mentally overwhelmed, it's probably perfect. If you just want to get F'ed up, probably not so much. I like to take a puff of a sativa during the day or smoke a big J of an indica if its closer to bed and it didn't really fit into either of those categories.
I'll have to say that the other aspects of the transaction with GreenCo were great and I did leave a 5/5, and they were totally respectful to my complaint.

I tried both the Super Bud and Blue Dream. Both were awesome. I'd have to say that I preferred the Super Bud. Really good head high for me. Would definitely re-up on the Big Bud if it ever came around again. From my experience GreenCo is the most professional vendor on SR. Great Communication, Great Product, Fast Shipping, Great Packaging. You're not gonna go wrong ordering from these guys.

I'm going to give the Purple Trainwreck x Snow a shot. I tend to favorhybrids like Blueberry, Blue Dream, and LA Confidential but I'm willing to try something more on the strong sativa side. I'll post a review once I try it out.

I was advised through PM w/ GreenCo to try asking in the forum about different strains. As I mentioned I like euphoric hybrids like blueberry, blue dream, and LA confidential. I typically use for stress/anxiety as well as recreation, so I like avoiding strains that can be "too heady" but like avoiding couch lock as well. Any suggestions?

I have a friend that's dying for me to get him some Juicy Fruit ever since I told him about the reviews it got when LTTM had that small taste a couple weeks ago. I never saw so many long term weed smokers all say it was the best they ever smoked! And the photos at Kindreviews did kind of make me want to smoke weed again. :D

We are not sure what this is about. The buyer never contacted us and it might be a troll. The item links to something that we sold out of in June so the transaction happened over a month ago.
A 1/5 with no contact and no arbitration does seem odd but we take any report of non delivery very seriously and are investigating what could have gone wrong.

This turned out to be a real feedback from buyer who got nervous about what was discovered to be a known issue on their end. GreenCo and the buyer reached an agreement that made us both happy. The buyer has since kindly changed their rating to a 5/5 and wrote a very positive statement.
There was some initial confusion and doubt because we flagged <a different buyer> as a fraud less than 24 hours before. We had shared that data with some admins and moderators the day before and assumed this incident confirmed our suspicions. We thank everyone who was helpful in solving this case and in helping us keep an open mind.

I gave greenco a 5/5 for the OG Kush 1/8th. However, I do have to say, we have been smoking LTTM white kush all day and this OG Kush is much less potent in comparison.
Now, this does not take away from the 5/5. Greenco are very very professional and prompt and we will order from them again.

GreenCo did honor all orders placed during the latest bitcoin value slide. Anytime anyone places an order with us we will ship it either same day or next day no matter what the rest of the world does. The only time we cancel orders is when the package is undeliverable and we always give the buyer 24 hours to fix the issue before refunding and voiding the transaction. (Mostly from bad PGP use)

I like leafly.com's rating system which uses several different rating criteria as well as an area for open comment. You should check it out to see how it works if you haven't seen it. Most beer rating systems allow an "overall" rating on a 1-10 scale but then assign descriptions and values also. Because the cannabis experience is somewhat subjective and because individuals prefer different effects, it's better to avoid rating systems that tend to be expressions of "good" and "bad". You want the rating/review system to reflect what a user will feel not just whether one individual with personal preference likes it or not.

My suggestion:
Scale of 1 -10 over a few categories and a overall score (Cure, Taste, Smell, Flush - and clearly state weather it was grown Indoor or Out)
Keep Indica (or Indica Dom) and Sativa (Sativa Dom) separate and clearly mark (as you do)
Right a longer and more in depth review of the strains detailing the more general effects. (I.E. GreenCrack - Detail the subtly of the initial rush, flowing into the medicating body high. Explain when excess is smoked the Indica seems to come out - versus the buzzing happiness of just a bowl.) (If you need anyone for this position I love to leave reviews ;) )
If you can make and assessment - or better yet test a sample - give an idea of the cannabinoid ratio.
Armed with this info people should have no hard time to pick what they like. Thanks for the continued professionalism you bring to the community.

Indoor can get bigger and more intense because it is grown in an environment designed to maximize something (usually output/profit)
A good analogy might be grass fed vs lot fed beef, or organic vs non organic apples.
Outdoor is "better" but indoor is more impressive.

GreenCo is so awesome that I dont even buy off any of my real world connects anymore. The product is always top quality and it always comes quick...i try to time it so I get a bag every few days...Just an idea...but GreenCo should offer like a monthly subscritpion...call it the "ditch your dealer" service where the buyer like me would pay for a fee like $500 a month to have a certain amount of pot delivered on a schedule like every week...or they send you a bag every 4 days or something...id sign up and release BTC immediately as we all know GreenCo is a legitimate business. Ill keep buying from GreenCo even if, god forbid, SR goes down. I fucking love.you GreenCo! Dont go anywhere!

I purchased some Blue Dream from GreenCo. I love the stuff. I've purchased from these guys several times and never been dissatisfied. The blue dream is the best, in my opinion. Packaging is very well done and very professional. You will not be disappointed by this group.

To be more specific we must consider strains - many time plant populations that have grown in a specific environment for many generations are very suited to that environment (Usually homogeneous - less allele combination so a more stable species but when taken to a different climate can thrive/cause different changes. Also weather - hot climate - the bud might compensate by becoming airy and light. Indoors you can control many more of these environments.
Now with Indoor - say you are like me and LOVE haze's . These tall plant are poorly suited to indoor, they need tons of light and can be unmanageable. To be honest I think people are more concerned with growing methodology - level of flush, correct nutrients, and the growing medium etc.. rather than setting. But that may just be me.
More notes: For most it comes down to hydro/soil - Larger (at times more potent) bud vs better/smoother taste. Be even this is a misnomer - you can grow organic with hydro and produce WONDERFUL TASTING bud. It's really about getting things to optimum potency before it hits ripeness, and beings to degrade.

GreenCo is a very remarkable and wonderful breath of fresh air especially with the current economy of herbal medicine in general. I have been fortunate enough to try the Blue Dream which was exactly as advertised and allowed me to get great rest which I have been lacking for weeks. The cotton-mouth sensation was easily offset by a bottled water nearby. My order lasted for over month since I am more of a once a week casual smoker.
I wish to purchase larger quantities listed but I understand to be approved on the wholesale list may take some time.
GreenCo is truly revolutionary and I hope stays around for 20 more years +.

SHIPPING TIME:
I have made 2 purchases from GreenCo over the past couple of weeks. Both orders arrived quite quickly. First shipment was ordered Monday evening, shipped out Tuesday, and I received on Friday. The second was purchased very late on a Friday right before they were wrapping up for the day I believe. They still got the package out that night if I remember right, and the product arrived on the following Tuesday. Very good shipping times from GreenCo. 5/5
PACKAGING:
Very well done. I LOVE that the buds arrive in perfect condition(no smushing or other damage). 5/5
COMMUNICATION:
Great customer service from GreenCo. Every message I sent to them, they replied within 10 minutes if I remember correctly. Can't do any better than that. 5/5
PRODUCT:
I ordered the first PGP special that they put up(unknown sativa dom). It was very good. 5/5
Second order I purchased was the HOG. Also a very good smoke. It wasn't quite as potent as the PGP strain, but very nice none the less. It was advertised as being last years harvest and GreenCo stated a 8/10 rating for this item due to that. I would agree, it certainly is not any lower than an 8/10. Both strains were a very smooth and pleasant smoke as well. 4/5
I, like everyone else that has purchased from GreenCo, highly recommend GreenCo as a great MJ vendor. Thank you very much for the great product and service. On a side note, any word on when more product will be available? I'm almost out and need to place another order. I would much prefer to give my business to GreenCo!

Excellent vendor, can't wait to do business again. After moving to a new town I was without cannabis for a few months. I finally ordered some Blue Dream from GreenCo and it was all around an excellent transaction. I swear that stuff kept me high for four hours or more!
I am anxiously awaiting new postings. Got my bitcoins all ready to go, just waiting on GreenCo to post up some cannabis. I'm hoping for some Green Crack this time.

Sometimes it takes a couple of days for the postings to show up. Nothing against GreenCo. but i have noticed sometimes the postings doesn't go up. it can a variety of reasons but rest assured they will go up and you will get excellent product and excellent service. So be patient people. and dont buy it all up. leave some for me.

Sorry about the delay.
We had a meeting scheduled this last weekend but several key GreenCo members could not make it. We keep thinking/saying "later today" but really we are just waiting on a couple of people. Nothing is really holding us up except unexpected scheduling conflicts.

Completely off topic, but you mention light deprivation harvest. I was wondering if you can explain in plain terms what this method- light deprivation- actually does? I have read several articles and I am still unclear (maybe I am a cementhead). It just is not intuitive to me. I always assumed the more sun, the better. Thanks

I wanted to stick with GreenCo as well, but after waiting 2 weeks for new listings I finally gave up and went with another vendor. They haven't even logged-in in 3 days now.

That is awesome news, GreenCo! I figured you had left for good, and just placed an order with another vendor. It should have arrived today (assuming a typical 3-day delivery time) but didn't. I guess I won't be getting stoned this weekend. :'(
When does harvest end? Just so I know when to hop on SR and place my next order...

GreenCo was the first vendor (that I had experience with) to really treat this like a mail order business. Well established policies, fun things like their PGP special..."Pretty Good Pot, $40 for 4 grams, but you have to send your address encrypted with PGP to qualify".
When you would order, you would get a whole message thanking you for your order and letting you know it was being processed, here's what to expect, etc.
It's a shame they didn't hang around until the market evolved to where it is now, where the common purchase is a half or an oz, makes it a lot easier on the vendors...they also got screwed by the bitcoin crash, and they probably make too much F2F to risk it again.

I miss them. I discovered them after using some other vendors and their professionalism and organization blew be away. When they initially left they said that it was for the harvest and they'd be back with everything to sell but then it never materialized.
